So I was in a cafe yesterday morning and overheard a lady chatting to her friend.
“Guess how much A2B taxis charged me at 5pm to go from Fore Street to the CO-OP on Henver Road?”
In my head I said….£5?
Her answer was £19.
I ended up spitting my coffee all over her dog.
It turns out that if traffic is slow, taxis switch to charging by the minute.
No wonder they never seem in a rush to get anywhere! 🤣
