In his email to councillors, Tim Dwelly raised concerns over the fact that a £200,000 bonus was offered to consultants to find investors for Newquay Airport!
“The American company that is being proposed for a Cabinet rubber stamp has no apparent experience in running UK airports, beyond a small private jet facility for wealthy individuals in Surrey.
They are not airport people.
Why are we even considering handing majority control of our airport to such a company?”
The major problem with Cornwall Council offering the consultant company ‘CBRE’ £200,0000 to find an investor is that there is no incentive to find the 'right investor'.
