I was reminded of a few other DIY places.

Screwfix is up at Treloggan, and the DIY shop is at Chester Stores on Chester Road.

There is also a butcher ‘Kitchen & Co’ on Chester Road that also happens to make amazing homemade pasties.

Are These 5 Newquay Car Parks to be sold off?

As Cornwall Council looks at ways to reduce costs, there’s growing speculation about which car parks might be transferred to private enforcement.

Town Centre car parks and those adjacent to key shopping and business areas are not included in these proposals. After a lengthy 75-minute discussion in the Council's Scrutiny Committee, it was clarified that these car parks will remain under Council control.

For Newquay, this means it's highly unlikely that car parks like Mount Wise will be affected. I’d also argue that Tregunnel should remain off the radar.

However, to help reduce Council costs, coastal or rural car parks serving environmental areas, beaches, and headlands could potentially be transferred, although no final decision has been made.
