Newquay Coastguard called out 3 times in 2 days
In the early hours of Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, the team was called to assist Devon & Cornwall Police near Great Western Beach. No further info was given.
Later that evening, the coastguard worked alongside Holywell Bay Lifeguards and the South Western Ambulance Service to aid a casualty on Kelsey Head, north of Holywell Bay. The team helped transport the individual from the coast path to an accessible point for the ambulance service.
Finally, in the early hours of Sunday, August 4th, the team was again tasked with assisting the ambulance service and local police with a casualty on Towan Beach.
