August 23 - Frustration Over ARMTRAC Parking Fines

Good Morning,

I always have a quote section at the bottom, but Peter Sullivan sent me this one, and I think it’s perfect for us as the surfing capital of the UK.

‘Waves keep coming. That's the one thing you can count on in life'. - Gerry Lopez.

Have a great bank holiday weekend, and I’ll see you kids on Tuesday.

Frustration Over ARMTRAC Parking Fines

Residents are increasingly frustrated with ARMTRAC Security. Numerous online complaints allege that fines were issued despite proper payment.

For instance, Jill Crossley shared a photo of herself being ticketed even though she had paid for parking in Porth opposite the Mermaid.

Another user, Jodie Rid, shared her ordeal after receiving a fine at Porth Beach Holiday Park, even though she had paid for her parking.

She appealed but received no response and was later informed that her case had been handed over to debt collectors.

Richard Mellor suggests that people may be paying for parking in one car park but mistakenly parking in another.

"You've done what others have done—paid for one car park in town but parked in the other. It's easily done,"

Richard Mellor

Tip: Keep your ticket for up to 6 months or park in Council-owned car parks only.

This is what the Griffin used to look like.

It used to be called the Penthouse Hotel and was replaced in 1990.

The Griffin.

I think it has the best carvery in Newquay.

We all have different preferences for our roast dinner, so take my opinion with a pinch of salt. However, I absolutely love it! 😍
