October 1 - Newquays mind-blowing Mural
Good Morning,
White rabbits, White Rabbits, White Rabbits.
It’s just hit me that my wife is due our 3rd child, 2 months today!
Not feeling nervous at all. 👀

📖 Featured story
Newquays mind-blowing Mural
I had a different featured story ready to share, but I feel like this deserves pride of place for at least one day.
This incredible artwork has been created by Slap Dash Studio and Elle Koziupa who has brought her ‘photo-realism’ style to a wall on Fore Street (opposite Sainsbury’s).
Featuring a fisherman, inspired by photographs from Newquay Museum and Archive.
The MUQY street art project has been created by Newquay BID (Love Newquay) and Experience Newquay Be Newquay Festival to breathe new energy into the town centre.
They will continue to actively pursue wider funding opportunities to support the delivery of multiple-stages. If you have a suggestion for a wall or a story you think we should tell, please PM us.
Commissioned by Cornwall Council project Experience Newquay in collaboration with Love Newquay. It is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Why don’t ghosts like rain in October?
It dampens their spirits!

What happens at Man Down Newquay ??
Every two weeks on a Wednesday at 7pm we invite men to come along and talk about their mental health as part of a supportive talking group. By offering the chance to speak and listening to others, together we break down the stigma associated with talking about our emotions. All attending agree to the sessions being a confidential, non-judgemental and safe space to share. We also offer social meet ups and an online peer support group for those that have attended a face-to-face talking group meeting.
📸 Nostalgic Photo of the Day
This photo blew my mind. It makes you realise how many houses have been built in the last 100 years. Taken in 1903.
