Good Morning,

My biggest problem with winter?

The cold turns me into a human dustbin—I just want to eat everything.

Speaking of food, it reminds me of the time I got invited to Christmas dinner at my girlfriend's house.

Lovely, right?

Except my mum was also cooking Christmas dinner and I didn’t want to upset her so I had 2 dinners. 1 at 2pm and another at 5pm.

My mum still doesn’t know I had already eaten lunch. 😆

Pretty sure I nailed 22 roast potatoes, 1kg of cauliflower cheese, and about five Yorkshire puddings that day.

I felt more stuffed than the Turkey.

Hotel Victoria makes 60 staff members redundant

One of Newquay’s most prominent hotels has closed after being sold — putting around 60 staff into a redundancy process.

The Hotel Victoria, Bertie O'Flannigan's pub and Berties night club, the adjacent white house and Señor Dicks Mexican Restaurant in East Street are in the process of being sold to a hotelier.

Bertie O'Flannigan's pub is due to shut on Monday, November 25.

The sale has come about after the majority of the shareholders decided to get their equity out of the business following the complex losing money despite “other options being available.”
