Plans for Newquay's GP surgeries abandoned
Radio Newquay first shared this story
Plans to combine Newquay’s two GP surgeries under one roof have been abandoned, and the Narrowcliff Surgery is exploring the possibility of a solo project.
Initially, both surgeries were set to co-locate to land adjacent to Trevenson Road, on the edge of Nansledan.
The seafront site occupied by the Narrowcliff Surgery is part of a larger redevelopment project, including the former Hotel Bristol, which will be converted into apartments following planning approval earlier this year.
Although the initial proposal was for both surgeries to remain separate but share a new facility, rumours of stalled negotiations surfaced weeks ago.
This story is just a snippet of the full story on the Radio Newquay website.
