Good Morning,

With GCSE results due out this week, I’ve been thinking about Chris Dawson.

He owns The Range, that national chain where we love to find a bargain.

Dawson left school at 15 with no GCSEs to become a market trader.

Imagine if Del Boy was a Janner from Plymouth and actually became a multi-millionaire.

There are stories of him buying a helicopter, and when it came time to sign the paperwork, he had to mark an 'X' because he couldn’t read or write.

So, if your kids are getting their results this week, remember: this isn’t the end of the world.

My foster dad used to say…

"All you need to get by are grade Cs in English, Maths & Science."

But Chris Dawson has shown us that with hard work, you can succeed—no matter your results.

Police searching for potential assault witness

Police are searching for a potential witness to an assault in Newquay that left two men injured.

The incident happened on Friday, August 16, at around 1am on Sydney Road.

Police are now investigating the circumstances around the incident and are asking members of the public for their help in identifying a woman who may have witnessed the assault.

“Officers are keen to speak to the woman pictured as she may have vital information about the assault.

“Anyone who recognises the woman is urged to contact police via their website or by calling 101 quoting reference 502402068.”
