Plans have been submitted to redevelop the former Trevarrian Hotel site.
Watergate Bay Hotel wants to create eight-holiday apartments alongside a gym, studio and treatment rooms, restaurants, a well-being area for staff and decked car parking at the rear.
In addition, they also want to erect a two-storey building, known as XA, on the existing car park for what's described as "12 beach loft suites" plus a small convenience shop and pavilion for food and beverage outlets.
