Woman falls off cliff

At 4 am yesterday a lady was injured after falling over the railings in the alleyway between Steambar and the old Barracuda building.

All 4 major services were called out to attend the scene.

(Newquay and Padstow Coastguard, Devon and Cornwall Police, South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, and Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service).

The good news is that the woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

This story reminds me of a relative who fell off a multi-story car park whilst drunk.

The doctors said, "Because he was drunk his body was all relaxed. So instead of bracing at impact which could have been fatal, his body was more like a ragdoll so went with the hits".

Staff Nurse - Newquay

£28,407–£34,581 a year (Full–time)

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre at Carew House, Bodmin on 21st June 2024. This will be a morning or afternoon to be confirmed.

They are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic, and clinically capable Band 5 Trained Nurse to join their nursing team for their 19-bed Ward at Newquay Community Hospital.

The Trained Nurse role requires the post holder to be committed to the ongoing development of the ward and multi-disciplinary team.
